Client: Cameron Toll Shopping Centre
Never work with children as animals?
When it comes to working with children and animals we all know the old adage. But turning the two into one seemed like a plan...
With the 'We Love Summer' children's activity programme expertly planned and put in place by our sister company Whitewave, we needed to create additional awareness to compliment the creative and in-centre promotional work as well as the scheduled social media comms.
Using some of the key elements of the 'We Love Summer' campaign – some of the days included workshops with 'mini and mega beasties' - a series of images was created to use with traditional media and with the Centre's digital channels.
Two young friends of Wave were enlisted - along with their favourite tiger and lion outfits – to paint a picture of animals and kids.
The pictures worked well and secured a prominent appearance in The Scotsman and the series of other pics taken made scheduled appearances on the Centre's Facebook pages keeping the 'We Love Summer' programme at front of mind. This pic was the one that was carried in TheScotsman.
Cameron Toll Shopping Centre is Edinburgh's first out of town shopping centre having opened in October 1984. It is set on a 26 acre site and is home to retailers including Peacocks, New Look, Waterstones and one of the biggest Sainsburys in the east of Scotland and has welcomed well over 100 million visitors through its doors since first opened.
As well as working with the centre management we also work with retailers to support initiatives they are undertaking, all aimed at reinforcing the centre as a shopping destination.
